After our son, Nolan Edwin, was stillborn at nearly 23 weeks, we were given small items during our time in the hospital, keepsakes and tangible reminders of him that mean more to us than we could ever explain.
They gave us meaningful ways to say both hello and goodbye and the chance to create memories as a family that we will cherish forever. Even now, in the midst of so much heartache, those items continue to help us hold onto our time with him.
The books donated through this drive will be placed directly into Remembrance Carts and given to families in the hospital after the loss of a baby. They give parents something to read to their baby as a way to create a memory during their too-short time together.
We will be going to the Adalyn Rose Foundation Headquarters to personally sign Nolan's name inside each donated book before they are distributed to local hospitals.
The Adalyn Rose Foundation (ARF) is a Reading, Pennsylvania-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting families grieving the loss of a child during pregnancy, infancy, or early childhood. Through support groups, peer matching, financial assistance, and hospital partnerships, they walk alongside families through some of the most difficult days of their lives.
